As I researched scholarly articles for Physical Education, I came across an article on http://www.livestrong.com/ that talked about all of the benefits of Physical Education in schools. Most of these ideas were ones that I had known previously but it is an article that I feel more people should know about. In my experience, I haven't seen Physical Education expanding in schools across the country, and it is usually one of the first things to get cut from a budget. For example, in my school only freshman and sophomores are required to take Physical Education. If more schools and administrators were aware of this information, then Physical Education programs across the country might be able to expand. The article touches on the physical, academic, and social benefits of Physical Education.

Benefits of Physical Education

  1. I thought it was a state law that students have to take physical education all four years. With all the health regulations that they put on the food that the students eat you think physical education would be on top of their priority list.
